Neuro Visual Performance in Victoria and Nanaimo, British Columbia

“Our mission is to make sure that no kids or adults are left struggling with these treatable visual conditions. We need to overhaul how we think about vision, and change the testing process.

We help people see with their eyes and brains. Do you suffer from learning disabilities or attention problems? What about dizziness, migraines or ongoing post-concussion symptoms? You may have a problem with how your eyes and brain work together.

The solution? Our Opto-mization™ Training process. We’ve helped kids and adults across North America see and experience their world more clearly and comfortably.

We also offer other specialty services, such as sports vision therapy, myopia control, and treatment for dry eye symptoms.

Ergoptics and Our Optical Team

Looking for glasses that also address your whole visual system? Ergoptics glasses take into account not just your visual acuity, but the way your eyes work together as a team. The result is more efficient reading and writing and less headaches and eyestrain while working in school or at the office.

So much thanks goes to Dr. Carmeron McCrodan after spending some time there at the office in Nanaimo. I was so impressed with the staff. So helpful with Dr. Carmeron McCrodan I can’t speak enough about. I got in an accident in January 2 and ended up with head injury I couldn’t figure out why my dizziness, headaches, depth perception everything was off, and Dr. Cameron explained this all to me along with a friend Jan. I cannot tell you the difference in me and explain to you all this is beyond words what I experienced in that office today I have never in my ever in my life, been to a doctors office and I actually saw changes right in front of my eyes. This man knows what he is doing. I’m dealing with ICBC and people this can be a fight and I know Dr. Caron and my OT in Campbell River Taylor has the best interest in taking care of me, as we spoke, Dr. Cameron explained to me with my head injury from the motor vehicle accident. All this was caused and now we will have to fix it. It will take a few sessions and do glasses to correct my depth perception everything out of this accident. I cannot explain to you what I experienced today on 19 June 24 in Nanaimo it was miraculous this is not far-fetched. This is real, put me into tears because Dr. Mc Crotdon, actually understood me because I had dyslexia and always felt stupid, and Dr. Cameron told me you are not stupid. You are smart. You just need things differently. I cried. I am so grateful to this man looking forward to working with him. thank you Dr. McCrodan for taking time to explain to me and understanding me with my head injury I would highly suggest those of you who have been written off as attention deficit, dyslexic all of these titles that were put under. Maybe just check in and see if he can be of help and see if it is an eye problem. You know what they say the eye is a window to the soul. This man truly wants your soul healed. I cannot say thank you enough to you and your team and I’m looking forward to working with you. Thank you thank you thank you once again Caron Janett.

Specialized Eye Care For You

Vision Therapy helps patients improve their foundation for reading, learning and playing sports. It’s a series of custom and individualized activities and exercises which function as a form of neuro-optometric rehabilitation.

The goal is to enhance eye tracking, focusing and eye teaming abilities as well as eye-hand coordination and visual processing speed.

The program is not only for children. Vision Therapy is effective for adults, especially if they are motivated to improve their visual abilities.

More On Vision Therapy

Sports Vision Training isn’t about correcting your vision. You wear glasses or contacts for that. Vision Therapy is about training (or retraining) the brain to achieve maximum efficiency in the way it processes and responds to visual inputs.

Sports Vision is about training people with excellent vision to process and respond to what they see faster and better. Using a personalized and customized series of techniques and exercises, the brain learns to respond more accurately and efficiently. It’s just like muscle memory. Once you know and refine exactly how to react, you can do it again and again, and get better every time.

Traumatic brain injury such as a concussion or stroke, or diseases such as MS, cerebral palsy, or chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), can result in potentially devastating visual problems.

There are also a number of inherited brain conditions that can similarly prevent the normal development of the visual system.

Fortunately, we've helped numerous patients rehabilitate and recover from their visual problems, ultimately reducing or eliminating headaches, dizziness, poor balance, and other symptoms. Serving Victoria and Nanaimo, British Columbia.
